Job summary

Ontic, a leading aerospace OEM, is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive end-to-end strategic sourcing across core commodities. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to deploy global commodity strategies and improve cost competitiveness.

Remote work structure with ~30% travel, reporting to Global Commodity Senior Manager. Requires 3–7 years in strategic sourcing in manufacturing, with ERP/BI proficiency and ITAR/EAR knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain in manufacturing; Aerospace & Defense experience preferred.
• Experience managing RFx processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes: supplier identification, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation, resourcing, new business opportunities, and license support.
• Ensure sourcing activities align with global commodity strategies and enterprise objectives.
• Identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, should-cost analysis, and competitive sourcing.
