Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across its global operations. The role reports to the Global Commodity Senior Manager and supports RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction efforts while coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Remote work structure is offered for candidates in approved states, with approximately 30% travel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing; aerospace/defense preferred.
• Experience managing RFx (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience with cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should-cost.
• Knowledge of contract management, terms, and supplier agreements.
• Understanding of global supply markets and supply chain risk.
• Ability to interpret drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, service).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes from supplier ID to award recommendations.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation and license support.
• Ensure sourcing activities align with global commodity strategies and objectives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analysis.
• Develop, negotiate, implement, and manage global supplier agreements.
• Manage contract lifecycle, pricing updates, amendments and compliance.
• Align with legal and risk objectives in supply chain processes.
• Develop understanding of global commodity markets and pricing trends.
• Provide market intelligence and supplier risk information to stakeholders.
• Support development and refinement of commodity strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
• Support supplier reviews and improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and cross-functional teams.
• Serve as interface between Global Sourcing and site stakeholders.
• Support deployment of sourcing decisions across Ontic locations.
• Apply data analytics to supplier selection and sourcing decisions.
