Job summary

Ontic, a leading aerospace OEM, seeks a Global Commodity Specialist to support strategic sourcing across global operations with a remote work structure. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and site Supply Chain teams to drive cost competitiveness and supplier performance while aligning with global commodity strategies.

The role requires 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, RFx management, ERP familiarity (SAP/Oracle), and strong analytical skills; travel ~30% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain within manufacturing; Aerospace & Defense experience preferred.
• Experience managing RFx processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes (supplier identification, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award).
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation and new business opportunities.
• Develop and deploy global commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities via PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analysis.
• Manage supplier agreements and contract lifecycle activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
