Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform server hardware break-fix, diagnose networking issues, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure uptime of AWS infrastructure.

The role requires physical data center work, travel between sites, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Demonstrated experience in Linux/Unix and a related IT degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshooting network issues and responding to incidents.
• On-call duties and scheduled maintenance participation.
• Documenting issues and contributing to process improvements.
• Assisting with onboarding and training new team members.
