Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ (West Point, PA facility) seeks a Packaging Operations Manager to direct clinical packaging technicians and ensure compliant, timely manufacturing of clinical finished goods.

You will lead shop floor execution, coordinate scheduling, and partner with QA/QMS to meet regulatory and internal standards. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or another technical field with 4+ years’ experience in operations, quality, tech operations, engineering, maintenance or supply chain in pharma manufacturing.
• Associate’s degree with 6+ years in OPS/QMS/SC.
• High school diploma with 8+ years in OPS/QMS/SC.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches a team of clinical packaging technicians.
• Ensures compliance with cGMPs and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews production orders and SOPs; maintains documentation.
• Supports quality risk assessment and quality management system activities.
• Drives continuous improvement to reduce deviations and lead times.
