Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA is seeking an Operations Packaging Room Lead to supervise Clinical Packaging Technicians for GMP-compliant packaging and labeling of clinical study materials. You will manage room setup, training, documentation in SAP, and ensure GDP practices are followed.

This is an on-site, first-shift role with leadership responsibilities. Required is GMP experience, strong communication, coaching ability, and a focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in GMP regulated environment.
• Leadership experience to enable accountability for daily operations for a team of packaging technicians.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and oversee the execution of filling, labelling, and packaging of clinical packaging jobs.
• Coordinate, perform and document de-packaging, packaging, labeling and sampling activities.
• Ensure team members perform tasks according to GMP/SOP, batch records, and safety requirements.
• Accountable for daily output and product quality in packaging of clinical studies per SOPs.
• Report and prevent potential quality events and GMP non-conformances.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Train new employees and coach junior staff.
