Job summary

Johnson Electric in Vandalia, OH is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand the global customer base and shape product strategy in Robotics and Motion & Drive Solutions. You will lead commercial strategy, influence roadmaps, and partner with Engineering and Project teams to deliver awarded programs with profitable growth.

The role emphasizes managing global accounts, driving pricing and contracts, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to navigate international markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in Robotics or Cobots with motion/drive solutions.
• Strong global customer management experience.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience in international, cross-cultural environments.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive commercial strategies for assigned market segments.
• Lead pricing, incentives, service, and contract negotiations to secure profitable business.
• Manage P&L performance of assigned global customer accounts.
• Consolidate customer and market requirements to define product roadmaps and new business pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering and Project teams to execute roadmaps and deliver awarded programs.
• Monitor market trends and initiate new product strategies aligned with customer demand.
• Present product roadmaps and growth strategies at Annual Strategic Planning Reviews.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with global customers.
• Establish and monitor global pricing strategies and adjust as required.
• Coordinate tooling and fixture schedules with internal tool rooms and external vendors.
• Support margin optimization through commercial concessions and total‑package solutions.
