Job summary

Legora, based in New York, is scaling its billing operations. As our Global Billing & AR Manager, you will own the full lifecycle from signed order through invoicing, cash application, and reporting. You’ll lead and grow a team, drive automation, and serve as the connective tissue between how we sell and how we get paid.

This hands-on leadership role works with RevOps, Deal Desk, Finance, and Engineering to build a billing function that is accurate, scalable, and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in billing operations, AR, or revenue operations.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Strong internal controls knowledge and audit readiness.
• Hands-on with modern billing systems and ERP integrations.
• Proven people manager with team-building experience.
• Ability to build scalable processes and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the billing platform and act as owner for configuration.
• Manage the billing lifecycle from order form to invoice generation and cash application.
• Develop and scale the current team and build out the broader team over time.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing across subscription, usage, and hybrid pricing.
• Serve as escalation point for disputes and customer inquiries.
• Partner with Finance Systems on requirements and data flows.
• Drive automation of manual workflows and controls.
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering on pricing changes and go-live testing.
• Ensure completeness of upstream data for monthly close.
• Support auditors on billing and AR requests.
• Maintain SOPs, playbooks, and documentation.
• Collaborate on ASC 606 treatment for non-standard deals.
• Build KPI dashboards for billing accuracy, cycle time, and DSO.
• Prepare billing analyses for finance leadership.
