Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Air Freight Operations Specialist to facilitate air export activities, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures.

This role includes providing customer service to exporting customers and accounting agents, while performing bookings, rate provision, document production and problem resolution. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of air export experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience handling air export shipments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate documentation for air export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup and transfer; monitor status.
• Communicate with export-related authorities, customers, and suppliers.
• Track shipments and update customers and agents.
• Process customer invoicing and payable approvals.
• Complete US AES filings.
• Manage carrier and vendor rates; obtain spot rates when necessary.
