Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Air Export Specialist to facilitate the movement of products via air freight, ensuring compliance with policy and regulations, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities include documentation, rate management, carrier coordination, and communication with authorities, customers, and overseas agents. A minimum of 2–5 years in air exports and US export knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience handling Air Exports shipments or a combination of education and expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of all customs laws, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate documentation for air export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup and monitor status.
• Communicate with export authorities, customers, and suppliers across territories.
• Manage and update carrier and vendor rates; obtain spot rates.
• Correspond with overseas agents and clients on pre alerts, rate requests, shipments.
• Track shipments and update customers and agents.
• Audit files for accuracy and completeness.
• Process US AES filings.
