Job summary

Seaboard Overseas & Trading Group in Merriam, KS seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage end-to-end vendor payments and invoice processing within the finance team.

You will work with procurement and operations to ensure accurate payables, uphold internal controls, and support audits, month-end closing, and tax reporting. Candidates should have 3–4 years AP experience, an associate degree in accounting, and strong ERP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–4 years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong Excel skills incl. PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft or Dynamics).
• Understanding of 1099 reporting and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to POs, contracts, and receiving docs.
• Manage vendor master data and 1099 reporting.
• Assist month-end close and financial reporting.
• Support internal controls and audits.
