Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technology manager to lead a team maintaining cloud infrastructure for global data centre operations. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions while coordinating hardware/network diagnostics and on-call activities.

The role requires travel between data center sites and building scalable operational processes, with a focus on safety, security, and cost efficiency in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience; 2+ years in operations/on-call support for data centre facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of diverse data center operation teams across locations.
• Develop career paths and updates in internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Oversee day-to-day data center operations, including 24/7 shift arrangements and hardware logistics.
• Lead and synthesize data center operation improvements and automation.
