Job summary

Patreon is seeking a GL Accounting Manager to lead month-end close and close-related processes. The role covers global entities, including Ireland, Portugal, the UK, and Australia, with a strong focus on accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and control design.

You will drive automation and process improvements, partner with Tax, Treasury, and FinOps, and support auditors through documentation and PBC schedules. Hybrid work in NY or SF is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA preferred for leadership and audits.
• 5+ years accounting experience with 3+ years in audit at a Big 4 or national firm; 2+ years in industry accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close process and general ledger activities for core accounts.
• Review journals, reconciliations, and close entries across multiple entities (US and international).
• Manage FX revaluations, consolidation, and period-end allocations/ eliminations.
