Job summary

JustMarkets seeks an experienced GL Accountant Lead to manage global accounting processes and ensure timely close. You will lead the Month-End Close, validate trial balances and intercompany accounts, and ensure IFRS and local compliance across entities.

You will also coach the GL team, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements across regions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting with IFRS expertise, strong Excel and ERP skills, and proven leadership and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting with Senior GL/Lead/Managers experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge applied to daily accounting.
• Experience with GL accounting and Month-End Close processes.
• Experience with statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting and audits.
• Experience leading or coordinating a GL/Accounting team.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Month-End Close for all entities.
• Review and validate trial balances, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany, and JEs.
• Ensure IFRS and local accounting/tax compliance.
• Review and approve key accounting entries within authority.
• Monitor and validate tax, statutory, regulatory reporting by team or providers.
• Develop GL/Fixed Assets team including workload, coaching, KPI tracking.
• Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors.
• Monitor accounting risks and resolve discrepancies or escalate.
• Coordinate external accounting and tax providers and SLAs.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve accounting processes.
• Provide regional close status and risk updates to Global Accounting Management.
