Job summary

Briarcliff Manor UFSD is seeking a Head Coach for the athletic department to organize and supervise the full sports program, guide staff, and foster student-athlete development.

The role requires proven coaching experience, strong technical knowledge, and role-model behavior. Responsibilities include policy adherence, scheduling, equipment oversight, and promoting community relations.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. (Major sports)
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
• The head coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Has thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures their implementation.
• Interprets state and league regulations for staff.
• Supervises and coordinates high school and middle school coaches.
• Instructs athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and conditioning.
• Maintains discipline and resolves grievances.
• Assists athletic director with scheduling and tournament logistics.
• Ensures equipment management and inventory.
• Promotes good public relations and communicates with parents and media.
