Qualifications

1. Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
2. Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (major sports).
3. Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and openness to new theories/procedures.
4. Serve as a positive role model for student athletes through instruction and actions.

Responsibilities

1. Has thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures staff adherence.
2. Oversees staff, ensures compliance with regulations, and coordinates with athletic director/pre principals.
3. Manages staff conferences, clinics and meetings to promote program awareness.
4. Maintains discipline, resolves grievances, and supports morale and cooperation.
5. Assists in scheduling, transportation, and facility time; ensures proper safety and equipment handling.
6. Mentors athletes on character development and academic performance.
