Brown University seeks a Gift Compliance Officer to ensure donors have a positive philanthropic experience by laying groundwork for long-term stewardship through accurate gift documentation and compliant gift agreements.

The role involves evaluating fundraising requests, developing and reviewing agreements, coaching staff, and maintaining policy and process documentation. Hybrid work location; requires meticulous data handling and collaboration with Advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in fundraising, higher education, nonprofits, sales, customer service, and/or grant management.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate fundraiser requests to guide development of appropriate documentation.
• Develop, review, and approve gift agreements.
• Provide coaching and training for fundraisers and Advancement staff; maintain policy/docs.
• Enter and maintain information in tracking systems; ensure accuracy and actionability.
