Job summary

Kia Retailers are offering skilled military Veterans a pathway to a rewarding career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

The program provides full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer, a one-year competency-based GI Bill approved apprenticeship, and access to tools, equipment, and training necessary to complete the certification process.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from military service.
• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical / mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in line with Kia policies.
• Test drive vehicles, diagnose issues using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Perform services and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
