The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers veterans a path to begin a rewarding career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through a one-year competency-based apprenticeship led by participating Kia Retailers.

Qualifications

• Honorable discharge from military service.
• Valid driver's license from any state with clean record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles incl. engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and Retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles; analyze, diagnose, and repair components using Kia strategies and tools.
• Perform services and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor for an optimal customer experience.
