Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is offering a role for Military Veterans as an Automotive Technician Apprentice in Springfield, MO. This full-time position allows veterans to gain hands-on dealership experience and complete a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Veterans will receive training, tools, and support while potentially benefiting from a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) during the program. Previous mechanical experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
