Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team with Saturday and Sunday coverage. You will assess and treat geriatric residents, initiate therapies, maintain records and participate in IDT meetings.

Requirements: COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, licensure as RRT or CRT in the state, BLS certification, and ability to work independently in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently within a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform a variety of bedside treatments and daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and participate in care planning.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting recommended.
