Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide weekend coverage for a skilled nursing population. Candidates must hold an active state license (RRT or CRT) and be able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities include performing assessments, initiating therapies, documenting patient progress, and participating in quarterly in-services for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies for varied conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and complete required documentation daily, weekly and monthly.
• Participate in IDT meetings and assist nursing staff with therapy-related activities.
• Support long-term care residents in rehabilitation and functional goals.
