Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in Sayville, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The ideal candidate will hold a NY-licensed RRT or CRT, assess and initiate therapies, and provide bedside care to residents.

Responsibilities include documenting treatments, participating in IDT meetings, and supporting nursing staff with weaning trials and tracheotomy care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates and assembles equipment.
• Completes bedside treatments and daily documentation.
• Attends IDT meetings and provides in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Progress tracking, auditing, and caseload management; follows facility protocols.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.
