Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in East Northport, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate must hold a state license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and demonstrate a passion for geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate equipment.
• Deliver bedside treatments and monitor patient progress.
• Attend IDT meetings and complete required documentation.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care setting.
