Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and treat geriatric residents, operate respiratory equipment, and develop therapy plans with independence.

The schedule includes 4-6 hour shifts, potential up to 8 hours, with weekend (Saturday and Sunday) coverage. You must hold a state license and BLS certification, and have experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete respiratory assessments and therapies for residents with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and document daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings; manage caseload and auditing.
• Knowledge of tracheotomy care and long-term care requirements.
