Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation in home-based settings for older adults. You will evaluate and treat in patients’ homes or in independent living facilities, enabling maximal independence with supervision by a licensed PT.

The role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for mentorship, and the potential for visa sponsorship and relocation support as you deliver patient-centered care nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and staff meetings as a representative of physical therapy under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work-related meetings.
• Works with other rehabilitation team members to implement programs and activities aligned with each patient's needs.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when tests, evaluations, and complex procedures are performed.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in PT techniques under the supervision of the PT.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports equipment needs for repair as necessary.
• Puts Patient Service First: ensures patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate care.
• Implements the patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary PT.
• Provides individualized PT treatments including but not limited to: exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques and modalities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
