Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and label.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
• Ensure test requisitions match scripts and check for accuracy.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to address inquiries.
