Hire Consulting Services in Draper, Utah, is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and following safety protocols; schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, on-site.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, a state certification, and proficiency with MS Office. A geriatric-care background is preferred; benefits are available and potential for converting to full-time.

Competenze

• State phlebotomy certification as required in the employed state
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• High school diploma or GED is required

Mansioni

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously
• Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques using straight and butterfly needles
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
• Check test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperature
• Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries from callers
