Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Draper, UT for a contract position with the potential to become permanent. The role runs 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a projected duration of about 3 months and possible extension.

The candidate must have geriatric experience and a valid phlebotomy certification, with at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Benefits are available and on-site work is required.

Competenze

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 6 months of experience
• minimum 1 year of experience

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures. Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures; follow protocol for transport integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
