Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC in Draper, UT, is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role with a schedule of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The assignment is projected for 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

The role includes blood draws, specimen processing, and strict adherence to procedure and safety standards. Geriatric experience plus a valid phlebotomy certification are required, with minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.

Competenze

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles; verify orders and label specimens correctly.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries from physicians or staff.
