Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking a Phlebotomist in Draper, UT for a three-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Benefits are available and experience with geriatric patients is required. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation and specimen handling. Candidate must have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy

Competenze

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Attend annual department trainings and answer calls/read lab results as needed.
