Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or credential as required by state law and organizational requirements.
• Current phlebotomy certification.
• Ability to perform routine clinical procedures within scope of practice, including intake, vital signs, specimens collection, and other clinical support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to support coordinated, participant-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient participant flow by completing intake, rooming participants, obtaining vital signs and screenings, fulfilling provider orders, and preparing participants for examinations and treatments.
• Perform laboratory testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, injections, and other routine clinical procedures as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Coordinate follow-up visits and external appointments to support continuity of care.
• Serve as a first point of contact for participant questions and care-related needs via phone and electronic channels.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete participant intake and clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Support clinical operations through referral tracking, medical record management, and authorizations.
• Maintain clinic readiness with logs, room prep, equipment readiness, and inventory management.
• Provide a welcoming, participant-centered experience and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
