Job summary

UAB Medicine is recruiting an experienced registered nurse for the ACE 2 Unit at UAB Highlands. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and support elderly post-surgical and ER-transfer patients in a 23-bed acuity unit.

The role requires a nursing degree, an active RN license in Alabama, BLS, and ACLS/PALS depending on the unit. Compensation includes generous benefits and education support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in Alabama required or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel patients.
• Assess patient needs using the AACN Synergy Model.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care.
• Collaborate with patients, families and health care team to deliver timely, cost-effective care.
