Job summary

UAB Medicine’s Highlands unit seeks a compassionate RN to care for post-surgical and geriatric patients in a 23-bed ACE unit. You will apply the nursing process, assess needs through AACN models, and coordinate care with the care team to deliver safe, cost-conscious treatment.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, and an Alabama RN license with BLS. BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit. Great benefits and teamwork await.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• If job is in a FSED location, ER or ICU experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care and counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Identify patient needs using AACN Synergy Model and delegate, coordinate and manage nursing care.
• Deliver patient care in collaboration with the patient, family and health care team under licensed physician or other professionals.
