Job summary

StoryPoint Group is seeking a Caregiver/Medication Manager to provide compassionate, personal support to residents in our community and to pass medications as needed. The role includes assisting with daily activities, grooming, hygiene, and mobility, while following medication protocols and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, state-required training, and CPR/First Aid certification, with experience in geriatric care or healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site if not already certified.
• Previous healthcare, geriatrics, or elderly population experience preferred.
• Desire to work with geriatric population.
• Training per state requirements.
• Must have current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and clean residents by bed bath, shower, or whirlpool.
• Follow medication administration protocols for each resident.
• Assist in grooming (teeth, hair, nails, makeup, glasses).
• Make beds and change linens; keep rooms tidy.
• Answer emergency calls promptly.
• Assist residents with bedpan, urinal, and bathroom needs; monitor continence every two hours.
• Record vital signs and report unusual changes to nurse or director.
• Assist in mobility, transfers, and ROM; ensure safety.
• Respect resident privacy and dignity; uphold Resident Bill of Rights.
• Assist in activity programming and care.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
