Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and is willing to obtain on-site Medication Manager certification. Prior geriatrics experience is preferred, and state requirements are followed.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site if not already certified.
• Experience in healthcare/geriatrics and elderly care preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and clean residents as needed.
• Follow medication administration protocols for each resident.
• Assist in grooming and personal care.
• Make beds and keep rooms tidy.
• Answer emergency calls promptly.
• Assist residents with bedpan, urinal, and bedside commode or to bathroom as needed.
• Take and report vitals and changes to nurse or ED.
• Assist with mobility and positioning; use lifting devices when needed.
• Maintain privacy and dignity; uphold Resident Bill of Rights.
• Participate in activity programming and daily assignments.
