Fervo Energy in Utah seeks a hands-on Shift Operator for Cape Station Geothermal Power Plant and Brine Gathering System. You will operate and monitor equipment, troubleshoot in real time, and support 24/7 operations.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working nights, weekends, and holidays with rotating shifts. Training and a path to advanced geothermal operations are offered.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training in power plant operations preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial operations or power generation.
• Familiarity with geothermal or thermal power processes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SOPs, equipment manuals, and process control systems.
• OSHA 10 or 30, CPR/First Aid, confined space entry, or similar certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor plant and gathering equipment including turbines, pumps, separators, heat exchangers, generators, valves, strainers, and automation systems (SCADA/DCS).
• Start, stop, and regulate equipment to meet operational targets and ensure grid compliance.
• Conduct regular walkdowns to identify abnormal conditions and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain shift logs, checklists, and operational data.
• Respond to alarms and system upsets per SOPs; take corrective action with maintenance/engineering.
• Provide detailed shift handover briefings and communicate with Control Room and support teams.
• Support maintenance during outages by preparing equipment for access (lock-out/tag-out, line draining).
• Report malfunctions and assist in minor field-level corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and proper PPE usage.
• Record readings and generate reports; enter data into CMMS and create work requests.
