Job summary

Ormat Technologies seeks a Plant Operator for its Stillwater Power Plant in Nevada. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, monitor systems, respond to alarms, and maintain production logs.

Responsibilities include reviewing data, troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting with planning and procedures. Must work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Internet usage.
• Ability to understand procedures and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate power-generation equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Monitor plant systems and respond to alarms and out-of-spec conditions.
• Review operating data and troubleshoot variations.
• Maintain logs of plant activities and production levels.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and procedure updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
