Intertek Building & Construction in Houston, TX seeks a Geotechnical Special Project Manager to lead transportation projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate with clients, manage scope and budgets, and ensure on-time delivery with high quality.

This role reports to the Regional Chief Engineer and requires about 15% travel. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering, a PE license, and 5+ years of geotechnical/transportation experience, with strong modeling

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 5+ years of geotechnical experience supporting transportation projects.
• Proficiency with geotechnical modeling software (Plaxis or similar) required.
• Experience with GeoStudio, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, SLIDE, Settle3D, and MSEW required.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering plans and specs.

Responsabilités

• Perform geotechnical evaluations and analyses using standard engineering principles.
• Prepare preliminary geotechnical reports and project documentation.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on technical requirements and progress.
• Travel as needed (approx. 15%).
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
