Knight Piésold USA invites a geotechnical engineer to lead field investigations, data interpretation, and design for diverse projects worldwide. You will mentor staff, develop technical reports, and ensure quality across geotechnical analyses and construction support.

The role requires a BS in civil engineering with a geotech emphasis, a PE license or track, 4–10 years of experience, and willingness to travel between office and field sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical emphasis.
• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 4–10 years of experience.
• Registered or on track to be a Professional Engineer (PE).
• Spanish language skills are a strong asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and slope stability programs (GeoStudio/RocScience) required.
• Familiarity with gINT, FLAC or PLAXIS and Civil 3D is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Directs and reviews integration of geotechnical work across site investigations, analyses, and design.
• Mentors junior staff and leads project management tasks.
• Develops client communications and technical reports.
• Interprets field and lab data to classify soils and assess geotechnical characteristics.
• Supports business development in mining, water resources and hydropower sectors.
