Sanborn Head is seeking a Field Technician to join the team in Boston, MA. You will work with staff engineers and scientists on projects primarily in urban environments, providing QA for earthwork and geotechnical activities while developing technical field expertise.

You will document field observations, communicate with contractors and project managers, and participate in training to advance skills. This is a full-time onsite role with local travel within New England and a focus on safety and

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in civil engineering technology or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA services for earthwork construction projects.
• Complete field reports, notes, and project documentation.
• Communicate with contractors and project managers daily.
• Perform geotechnical/environmental field sampling and subsurface work.
• Calibrate and maintain field equipment with guidance.
• Assist data collection, entry, and analysis for project objectives.
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in all work.
