STV Incorporated seeks a geotechnical engineer to lead investigations, site assessments, and subsurface explorations for infrastructure and transportation projects in the Boston area.

You will analyze soil, rock, and groundwater, prepare detailed geotechnical reports with design recommendations, and perform design calculations for foundations, slope stability, and ground improvement. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, with a Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of geotechnical engineering experience in transportation, infrastructure, and building projects.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within one year; proficiency with geotechnical software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and subsurface explorations.
• Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions for reports and design recommendations.
• Perform geotechnical design calculations for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement.
• Provide technical support during construction, reviewing submittals and field observations.
• Collaborate with teams, clients, and regulators to meet project objectives and standards.
