Haley & Aldrich in Boston, MA is seeking an Intern to serve as a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Technician. The role runs full-time for 3–4 consecutive months starting May or June 2027, based in our Boston office.

You’ll assist office engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks and gain hands-on field experience. Requirements include enrollment in civil/geotechnical/environmental programs, willingness to travel to job sites, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while following

Qualifications

• Pursuing civil/geotechnical/environmental engineering studies at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work well in a team.
• Willingness to visit construction sites and assist in field activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site health and safety expectations.
• Support field observations, soil/groundwater sampling, in-situ density testing, and earthwork observations.
