Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to assist engineers and technicians on geotechnical projects, perform laboratory testing, and observe construction materials in the field. The role supports project duties, ensures accurate data collection, and contributes to reliable outcomes.

Ideal candidates pursue Civil or Geology fields, with adaptability, collaboration, and readiness for regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field required.
• 0-3 years of experience in engineering or science related field preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests according to QA procedures.
• Log/classify soil samples in lab or field as needed.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Travel within regional area as required.
