Schnabel, Inc. in Marquette, MI is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for May–August 2027 to support geotechnical and field work.

The position emphasizes practical knowledge under supervision, with AutoCAD and GIS tasks, site observation, and lab testing, plus travel may be required.

Requires current enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program, strong communication, and willingness to work outdoors; valid driver's license needed.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering bachelor’s program.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work with direction as part of a team and willingness to perform a variety of tasks including office and field work.
• Desire and willingness to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.

Mansioni

• Perform geotechnical field work including observing subsurface exploration, using GPS to layout borings, and performing infiltration testing.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing at construction sites.
• Perform laboratory testing.
• Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GIS.
• Provide support to engineers on preparing geotechnical proposals and reports.
• Some travel may be required.
