Qualifications

• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program (Bachelor’s).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work with direction as part of a team.
• Willingness to perform a variety of office and field tasks.
• Desire to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical field work including observing subsurface exploration, using GPS to layout borings, and performing infiltration testing.
• Conduct construction observation and materials testing at sites.
• Perform laboratory testing.
• Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GIS.
• Assist engineers in preparing geotechnical proposals and reports.
• Some travel may be required.
