Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy is seeking certified teachers to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to K-12 students from the Duluth, GA office or a home-based Georgia location. Teachers will use the Pearson Online Classroom to deliver synchronous and asynchronous lessons, provide interventions, engage families, and monitor student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia teaching certification is required.
• Must have a Georgia certified teaching credential or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and plan Tier 2/3 interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement accommodations with fidelity.
• Use assessment data to diagnose needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned courses and general K–12 curriculum pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic success.
• Provide timely feedback on student work and communications with families.
