Job summary

The STEP Academy at Baruch College is seeking an in-person High School Math Instructor (Geometry Review) for Fall 2026. The course runs on Saturdays, 9am–10:25am, serving 15–18 students with a focus on NYSED geometry topics and Regents exam preparation.

Responsibilities include planning, teaching and material prep, evaluating student progress, and maintaining attendance records. Prior teaching experience in geometry and curriculum design are preferred; strong classroom management is required.

Qualifications

  • Availability for program day from 9am–10:25am.
  • Strong background in geometry.
  • Experience teaching high school geometry.
  • Experience designing geometry workshop series/curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management style.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with adolescents.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, teach and prepare materials for 15–18 students.
  • Evaluate student and group performance.
  • Provide staff with measurable results in student learning through assessments.
  • Monitor and maintain student attendance records.
  • Reassess curriculum based on student needs, interest, and understanding of material.
  • Other duties as assigned.
