RFCUNY's Baruch STEP Academy invites a part-time, in-person High School In-Person Instructor to teach Immunology & Human Health. The course runs 10:35am-12pm, with classes at BARUCH COLLEGE, NYC.

The instructor will prepare and teach content, assess student progress, and maintain attendance records for 20-22 students. The ideal candidate has a biology background, prior teaching experience, and skills in curriculum design and classroom management.

Qualifications

The Baruch STEP Academy is an academic enrichment program focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and providing college preparation. Managed through the CUNY Research Foundation, we serve 200 middle and high school students throughout the city each year.

High School In-Person Instructor

Course: Immunology & Human Health | Schedule: 10:35am-12pm

Course Description: Prerequisite: Open to all | This course examines the body's immune system and the ways it protects against disease. Students will look at the cells, organs, and molecules that defend the body from bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. This course also addresses how vaccines function, what triggers allergies, and the way autoimmune diseases develop.

Additional Information: This biology elective is designed for students interested in strengthening their science literacy skills and exploring STEM careers.

Pay Range:

$45 hourly
