Job summary

The RFCUNY Research Foundation of The City University of New York is seeking a High School Math Instructor for in-person sessions at Baruch College. The role runs Saturdays during Fall 2026, teaching Geometry Review to 15-18 students from 9:00 to 10:25 am, with emphasis on Regents exam preparation.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, delivering engaging geometry lessons, assessing student progress, tracking attendance, and adapting curriculum to student needs.

Qualifications

  • Availability for each program day from 9am–10:25am.
  • Strong background in geometry.
  • Experience in teaching geometry.
  • Experience designing and implementing geometry workshop/curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management.
  • Preferred: degree in STEM or education.
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience with high school.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, teach and prepare materials for 15–18 students.
  • Evaluate student and group performance.
  • Provide staff with measurable results in student learning through assessments.
  • Monitor and maintain student attendance records.
  • Reassess curriculum based on student needs, interest, and understanding of material.
  • Other duties as assigned.
